Wolves on the Prowl Community Service Day 2008 - NEW ORLEANS

Location: Meet at Loyola University

Loyola University New Orleans students and alumni will gather for the Eighth Annual National Wolves on the Prowl Community Service Day on Saturday, November 1 or November 8, 2008.

Wolves on the Prowl is a day of community service, with projects throughout the New Orleans area and in alumni chapter cities across the country.

This project is sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Student Government Association.


Projects for Wolves on the Prowl 2008

"Cubs in the Den"

Good Shepherd school field day at Loyola. Volunteers will coordinate games and activities for the Good Shepherd students.

"Service Starts in Our Own Community"

Volunteers will be cleaning up and painting a space in the basement of the Danna Center that will be used as a WFF break space.

Wilson Charter School

Volunteers will help clean up and paint at the Wilson Charter School.

LUCAP's project SMILE

(Students Moving Into the Lives of the Elderly.)

Volunteers will be potting plants with the seniors at the Uptown Shepherd Center followed by lunch and fellowship.


NORD

(New Orleans Recreation Department)

Volunteers will be assisting in cleaning up a local park.

Tentative schedule for the day

8 - 8:30 a.m.: Alum/student volunteers arrive. There will be a welcome/Opening reflection/Prayer and a continental breakfast served.

8:40am: Board Buses

9am: Arrive at project sites - start work

11am: working - finish up

Noon: Board buses back

After Party

12:20pm-2pm: After party in the Res. Quad @ Loyola. Band, food and beer. This is a time to reflect and regroup.
