Armed Forces Retirement Home
America honors its veterans during the month of November. Please join fellow
Loyola alums, families, and friends as we pay a visit to the veterans living in
the Assisted Living section of the Armed
Forces Retirement Home in northwest Washington.
Volunteers will assist veterans with a Thanksgiving
art project, encourage them to share stories of memorable Thanksgivings from
years past, take photos, and enjoy a very rewarding morning.
The project will
take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Free
parking is available on the grounds and the site is metro accessible.
After the visit with the veterans, a picnic lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
