Alumni Legacy Scholarship

FACT: Money Does Grow on Trees!


Apply for the Alumni Legacy Scholarship!


If your family tree includes a parent, stepparent, or grandparent who is a Loyola University alumnus/a, you may be eligible for up to $5,000 in scholarship money to be used for tuition, books, room and board, or additional student fees.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Must be a child, stepchild, or grandchild of a Loyola University New Orleans alumnus/a; must have at least a cumulative 2.5 grade point average; must be a full-time student (non-graduating senior) currently enrolled at Loyola University New Orleans; financial need.

To apply, submit a resume and cover letter to the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations.


Resume and cover letter should outline your experience at Loyola; need for this scholarship (including and unique qualifications); resume containing cumulative G.P.A.; expected graduation date and degree major; campus leadership and community and civic activities; documented financial need; name of parent, stepparent, or grandparent who graduated from Loyola University New Orleans.

Deadline for submitting an application is Noon, Wednesday, April 2, 2008.

Finalists will be judged based upon resume application criteria and individual interviews with the scholarship committee. All decisions made by the committee are final.
