Loyola University Parent and Alumni Admissions Network (LUPAAN)
Together with other parents, alumni, and the Office of Admissions, you can provide a positive influence in the recruitment of new students and their families to Loyola.
You might represent the university at a college fair in your area, refer names to the admissions office, or write or phone a prospective student. You could even host a reception in your home.
LUPAAN fosters a feeling of union among Loyola University parents, alumni, and friends in areas outside of New Orleans. It carries a spirit of cooperation and fellowship which establishes and maintains an effective relationship between the university and its alumni, parents, and friends.
Annual Activities
Members of the LUPAAN network may choose the activity in which they would like to participate. The three major annual activities are detailed below:
- Correspondence to Prospective Students and Parents
LUPAAN members phone or write prospective and admitted students and parents in their city or town to encourage the student to take the next step in the admissions process. This is a crucial informational exchange and one that is valued by the prospective student. - College Fair Programs
LUPAAN members represent the university at college fair programs in their city or town. Loyola admissions counselors periodically request assistance by LUPAAN members at larger, heavily attended programs. - Parties and Receptions
In an effort that combines the alumni, parent and student volunteer networks, as well as the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, holiday receptions and parties welcome incoming students and their parents to Loyola. This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to join the extended Loyola family. These receptions are usually hosted in a member's home and are coordinated with program assistance from an admissions staff person.
