Attend the second annual Alumni College

The Alumni Association is pleased to invite all alumni, family, and friends back for the second annual Alumni College: Experience Loyola Again, June 7-9, 2013.  Register now!

Over a three-day weekend you will have an opportunity to attend classes taught by Loyola’s outstanding faculty.  Over 20 faculty members have confirmed their participation, including Fr. Wildes, Bob Gnuse, Sue Mennino , Nancy Anderson, and Peter Burns, just to name a few. 

Extracurricular activities will include a hands-on visual art class taught by professor Mark Grote, M.F.A., a tour of the Irish Channel Catholic Churches, and private piano lessons with Donald Boomgaarden, PhD., Dean, College of Music and Fine Arts, David P. Swanzy Distinguished Professor of Music.

The classes offered will be grouped into tracks or themes that will help you identify topics of particular interest. Four dynamic tracks have been planned:

  • Global Issues -The social, political, economic, and environmental issues that affect us all
  • Louisiana - A glimpse of our history and culture
  • Spirituality - An extraordinary blend of theological insight and historical perspective
  • 101 Refresh - Introductory courses that you may have missed, were not available at the time, or were so interesting that you might want to take again

Registered participants are invited to attend a very special dinner on Friday evening, June 7, at Redemption Orleans Revival Cuisine.

A block of hotel rooms have been reserved for Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. All rooms are based upon availability. Request the Loyola University - Alumni College block rate before May 10, 2013.
