In 1922, when the first official football team walked onto the field, the Wolf Pack knew it had something special. The city and the school embraced the first few Wolf Pack sports teams. From the 30s to the 70s, athletics played a large role at Loyola. Athletes created memories and friendships on and off the field. After a hiatus, athletics was back at Loyola in the 1990s. From the 90s to the present, athletes are again creating lifelong memories and friendships. The Alumni Association and Wolf Pack Athletics invites all past athletes to the All Athletic Alumni Reunion. The reunion, which is open to all athletic alumni, no matter what sport or era, will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
The reunion will not only feature a chance for athletic alumni to reconvene with old teammates and meet new teammates, it will also feature a short history of athletics at Loyola by Ramon Vargas ’09, a reporter for NOLA.com—The Times Picayune.
Come share friendships and Wolf Pack memories for an evening as Loyola celebrates the Wolf Pack athlete during this Centennial year.
The All Athletic Alumni Reunion will take place in the St. Charles Room of the Danna Student Center. The cost is $30 per person, $50 per couple; price includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar.
